West Zone wins

BANGALORE, NOV. 4. West Zone defeated South Zone by two wickets in the DGQA inter-zonal cricket tournament here on Thursday. South mustered 96 and West, despite losing wickets at regular intervals, won in 24 overs.

The scores: South Zone 96 in 25 overs (N. Venkatesh 43, M. Mandel three for 10, Deshpande three for 22) lost to West Zone 98 for eight in 24 overs.
