Chirec PS triumphs

HYDERABAD, NOV. 4. Chirec Public School won the girls' under-14 basketball title, defeating St. Pious Girls High School 6-2 in the final of the Hyderabad District School Games Federation sports meet here on Thursday.

The results: Basketball: Girls under-14: final: Chirec PS bt St. Pious Girls HS 6-2. Boys: St. Paul's HS bt St. Mark's Boys Town 14-12.

Football: Boys under-17: league: St. Mark's Boys Town bt St. Gabriel HS 3-0; All Saints' HS bt HPS Begumpet 3-2; Don Bosco HS bt St. Francis HS 2-0; Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan bt Mt. Mary's HS 1-0; Narender bt Good Faith HS 1-0.

Volleyball: Boys under-17: league: AP Social Welfare bt Boys Town 15-9, 15-13; BVBPS bt Govt. HS, Lalapet 15-8, 15-9; Govt. HS, Moula Ali bt Aryan Patashala 15-12, 15-11; Chirec bt St. Francis 15-12, 15-6.
