KOCHI, NOV. 4. YMCA College of Physical Education (Chennai) will meet Jamal Mohammed College (Tiruchi) in the final of the Dr. A.K. Baby memorial inter-collegiate hockey tournament at the UC College ground here on Thursday. In the semifinals, Jamal Mohammed College defeated UC College (Aluva) 2-1. Pradeep Kumar (22nd) and Rajesh (49th) scored for Jamal College while Jimmy James netted the lone goal for the host. Braces from P. Vetrivel (23rd & 45th) and Satish Franklin (9th & 51st) enabled YMCA College blank Christ College (Irinjalakuda) 4-0 in the other semifinal. In the women's round-robin league, host UC College edged out YMCA college of Physical Education (Chennai) 2-1. Albymol Baby (10th) and P. Sunitha (58th) were the goal-scorers for UC while Malalatha (47th) sounded the boards for YMCA.
