CHENNAI, NOV. 7 The Postal Department will conduct a "on the spot design-a-stamp painting competition" on November 14. This year's subject is "Festivals or celebrations." The competition will be held at the Dakshin Bharath Hindi Prachar Sabha, T. Nagar, Chennai. It is open to all school students (up to 17 years of age as on November 1). There is no entry fee. The participants should bring their own A4-size drawing paper/art paper . Designs of a bigger size would be rejected. The design can be in ink, water or oil colour or any other medium. Students who are interested should hand in the registration form in specific format either in their school or at the Office of the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Chennai City Central Division, III Floor, 2, Sivagnanam Street, T. Nagar, Chennai, 600 017 before 4 p.m. on November 8. The schools should also ensure that the registration forms received by them reach the address before November 8. Three prizes would be awarded for the three best entries at the regional level . The first prize-winning entry will be sent to the Directorate for participation at the national level contest.
