Karunanidhi to take up HPF issue

CHENNAI,
NOV. 7.
The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president, M.Karunanidhi, today promised to take up with the Prime Minister the closure of the Hindustan Photo Films (HPF) unit in Udhagamandalam.
Mr.Karunanidhi sent telegrams to V.V.Giri and J. Aldurai, president and general secretary of the HPF Labour Union (Centre of Indian Trade Unions), and the general secretary of the HPF union, affiliated to the Labour Progressive Federation, David, urging them to end their protest, as he had written to Dr.Singh.
