Cheluvaranganatha emerges fastest

MYSORE, NOV. 24. Cheluvaranganatha (SAFGC) emerged fastest in the men's section on the second day of the 76th Mysore University inter-collegiate athletic championships at the University Oval grounds here on Wednesday.

The results (Winners only): Men: 100m: Cheluvaranganatha (SAFGC, 11.32); 5000m: M. Manjunatha (GFGC, Arkalgud, 16:39.84); 400m hurdles: S. Dhanya Sundar (SMC, Kollegal, 59.94); High jump: A. Manush (SBRR Mahajana FGC, 1.70m); Pole vault: D. Prasanthakumar (PGSC MG, 2.50m); Hammer throw: H. S. Santhosh (Basudeva Somani FGC, 32.94m); 20km walk: Shivaswamy (GJGC, 2:21:46.17).

Women: 200m: Koushar Fathima (Maharani's SC, 30.13); Long jump: S. M. Archana (PGSC MG, 4.76m); Javelin throw: Mohini S. Nayak (AVK Hassan, 18.23m); 5km walk: P. Lakshmi (JSS Kollegal, 39:40.34); Heptathlon: Diana Joylin D'souza (PGSC MG, 3248 pts).
