By Our Staff Reporter
TAMBARAM,
DEC. 17.
At the colourful passing out parade today at the Air Force Base in Tambaram, over 1,300 Airmen were inducted into the Indian Air Force (IAF). Air Commodore M.S. Ahluwalia, Air Officer Commanding, Tambaram, said that a combined passing out parade with Airmen from the technical and non-technical trades was held after a long time.
He said that the IAF was turning into a technology-intensive service with the constant induction of "high performance, state-of-the-art and high-precision military hardware" and the Airmen had to make constant efforts to improve their professional knowledge and keep abreast of the changes.
