Nominee on search committee

CHENNAI,
DEC. 18.
A retired civil servant, A.M. Swaminathan, has been named the Chancellor-Governor's nominee on a Search Committee constituted to recommend a panel of three names for appointment as Vice-Chancellor of Madurai-Kamaraj University. The nominee of the Syndicate is T.R. Natesan, a former Director of Technical Education and that of the Senate is G. Shanmugam of Anna Nagar, Madurai.
A gazette notification issued by the Higher Education department said Mr. Swaminathan would be the convener of the Search Committee.
The term of the present Vice-Chancellor, P.K. Ponnuswamy, ends in January next.
