HYDERABAD, DEC. 22. Swimmers on Wednesday retrieved the bodies of the two boys -- Sanjeev and Srikanth -- who got drowned in a well near Alugaddabavi in Secunderabad on Tuesday. On receipt of information about the incident on Tuesday afternoon, the police and the fire brigade personnel tried to fish out the bodies. They continued their efforts till midnight, but the search proved futile despite pumping out six feet of water from the well. The water level in the well is nearly 20 feet. With no streetlights, the entire area was pitch dark making the search operations difficult. By pressing into service five motorssimultaneously, the police were able to pump out only half-feet of water every hour. This morning, five submersible open well pumps were used to pump out more water. Finally, the swimmers could fish out the bodies by 3 p.m. The Chilkalguda police handed over the bodies to the respective families without conducting a post-mortem as eyewitnesses to the incident had told the police that there was no foul play.
