GRD institutions donate Rs. 1 lakh

CHENNAI, JAN. 22 . The Coimbatore-based GRD Educational Institutions today contributed Rs. 1 lakh to tsunami relief fund being collected by The Hindu .

The Vice-Principal of the G.R. Damodaran College of Science, K.K. Ramachandran, and four student representatives handed over a demand draft for the sum to the Joint Managing Director of The Hindu , N. Murali, here.

The amount was contributed by the management, faculty members and students of the group institutions, according to the college correspondent, D. Padmanabhan, who said the donations would best reach its destination through The Hindu .
