Panel report

Sir, — Four years after its appointment and over 20 years after the occurrence of the anti-Sikh riots in the Capital, the Nanavati Commission has submitted its findings. What useful purpose is the exercise going to serve, except opening up old wounds?

The Commission was appointed by the BJP-led NDA Government but the report has been submitted to a Congress-led Government. The report, at best, may help politicians score points.

V.S. Venkatavaradan,
Salem, T.N.
