Big win for Bishop Heber

KARAIKUDI, FEB. 10. An unbeaten 64 by Thanapal and a useful 55 by Ravikumar helped Bishop Heber College, Tiruchi beat Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology, Karaikudi by 107 runs in the seventh annual State-level inter-collegiate cricket tournament conducted by Alagappa University College of Physical Education Alumni Association here on Thursday.

The scores: Bishop Heber College 230 for four in 24 overs (Ravikumar 55, Thanapal 64 not out) bt ACCET, Karaikudi 123 in 22 overs (Sundhar 58).

Govt. Arts College, Karaikudi 116 in 25.4 overs lost to URUMV Dhanalakshmi College, Tiruchi 117 for six in 22.5 overs (R. Murali Eswaran 40).

Madurai Kamaraj University College, Andipatti 109 in 25.1 overs bt AUCPE, Karaikudi 108 in 28.3 overs.
