MUMBAI, FEB. 10 Petroleum Sports Promotion Board shuttlers Arvind Bhat and J. Vidyadhar advanced into the men's semifinals of the Air India National Ranking badminton tournament, organised by Uday Pawar Badminton Academy. The top seeded Bhat defeated K. Tanishik (Andhra Pradesh) 15-4, 15-9 at the Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana courts on Thursday. Vidyadhar overcame Rutupurna Kulkarni (Maharashtra) 15-0, 9-15, 15-6 .
Men's singles (quarterfinals): 1-Arvind Bhat (PSPB) bt K. Tanishak (AP) 15-4, 15-9; 4-J. B. S. Vidyadhar (PSPB) bt Rutupurna Kulkarni (Mah) 15-0, 9-15, 15-6; 3-Hemant Duggal (Rlys) bt Ravindra Singh (UP) 15-12, 15-5; 2-Anup Sridhar (PSPB) bt C. M. Shashidhar (AP) 15-4, 15-4.
