VIJAYAWADA, FEB.10. The 31st death anniversary of the playback singer, Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao, will be observed at the Thummalapalli Kalakshetram here on February 11. The daylong function will commence with the district Collector, K. Prabhakara Reddy, garlanding the statue of Ghantasala. The music director and playback singer, Gangadhar, will pay musical tributes to Ghantasala along with other playback singers like K. Jamuna Rani, V. Ramakrishna, Chalapathi Raju, Sunita, Sesikala, Vijaya Lakshmi, Malavika, Maithili and others. The actress, Vanisri, will light the lamp. The comedian, G. Hanumantha Rao and the mimicry artist, Harikishan, will also pay tribute to Ghantasala. Various artistes will be felicitated by the district Collector in the evening. Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao's wife Savitri and son Ratnakumar will be felicitated on the occasion.
