Vachaspati Puraskar

NEW DELHI,
FEB. 18.
The Vachaspati Puraskar, given by the K.K Birla Foundation to honour writers for their work in Sanskrit during the past 10 years, will be awarded to Ram Karan Sharma for his poetic work "Gaganvani" for the year 2004. The Puraskar also carries a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000.
The other literary award given by the Foundation meant to honour writers in Hindi or Rajasthani or writers belonging to Rajasthan, known as the Bihari Puraskar will be awarded to Marudhar Mridual for his poetic work "Aas-Paas" for the year 2004. The cash prize for the award is Rs. 1,00,000.
