Calls to satellite towns costlier

By Our Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI, FEB. 18. The Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) today reduced the pulse rates for landline to landline and landline to mobile phone calls to satellite townships of Delhi. This would effectively make the calls to these stations 50 per cent more expensive.

According to an MTNL spokesperson, the pulse rate for landline to landline has been reduced from 180 seconds to 120 seconds, while the pulse rate for landline to mobile phones has been reduced from 90 seconds to 60 seconds. The new pulse rates have been made effective with immediate effect.

The towns for which the new pulse rates would apply are Ghaziabad, Noida, Faridabad, Sonepat, Bahadurgarh, Gurgaon, Modinagar and Sikandarabad.
