NEW DELHI, FEB. 18. Four persons were killed in three separate accidents reported from South Delhi in the past 24 hours. A 28-year-old man was killed when the autorickshaw he was driving was hit by a Ford Ikon in Lajpat Nagar last night. The police said Vipin Kumar, a resident of Prakash Mohalla in Garhi, was going in his autorickshaw when a speeding Ford Ikon hit his vehicle near Vikram Hotel. He was rushed to Metro Hospital where he was declared brought dead. Lajpat Nagar police have arrested the driver of the Ford Ikon, Chanu Grover, a resident of Old Double Storey in Lajpat Nagar, on charges of causing death due to negligence. In another mishap, a tempo carrying 23 people hit an electricity pole near Dera Mor, Fatehpur in the Mehrauli area this morning. While Gulshan (25), a resident of Sanjay Camp jhuggies, who travelling by the tempo was killed on the spot, some of his co-passengers sustained minor injuries. A case has been registered at Mehrauli police station. In another incident, also reported from Mehrauli, two scooter-riders were killed when their vehicle was hit by a water tanker near a farmhouse at Satbari in Mehrauli this morning. While Devender, a resident of Asola village in Mehrauli, who was driving the scooter, was killed on the spot, his friend, Sanjeev, who was riding pillion, was declared brought dead at All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
