IPS officers transferred

NEW DELHI, FEB. 18. About a dozen senior officials of the level of Additional Deputy Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and Additional Commissioners of the Delhi police have been transferred or promoted.

According to a Delhi police spokesperson, Krishan Kumar, presently Additional Commissioner of Police (Addl. CP), Security, has been made the Addl. CP (General Administration). Sudheer Yadav, who was Addl. CP (Crime), has been made in charge of the Prime Minister's Security on the same post.

A.K. Singh, presently Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Provision and Logistics, has been promoted to the post of Addl. CP in the same Unit. Garima Bhatnagar, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Addl. DCP), North Delhi, has been made the DCP (East). R.K. Sharma, who has joined the Delhi police on transfer, is now the DCP (Special Branch).

Madhup Tiwari, who has returned from deputation to Kosovo, takes the post of Addl. DCP-I (North). Puneet Arora, who also joins the Delhi police on transfer, has been made the Addl. DCP-II (North). L.V. Prasad, who was Addl. DCP-II (North), has been sent as DCP (Vth battalion of the Delhi Armed Police).

Ranvir Singh, an officer of the DANIPS cadre who was presently posted at Addl. DCP (Security), has been transferred to South Delhi as Addl. DCP-II. He has been replaced by Suvashish Chowdhury, who too had been on deputation to Kosovo.

A couple of inspectors have also been transferred. Some more senior officials are likely to be transferred in the next few days.
