CHENNAI, FEB. 20. Mithali Raj of Railways will lead the 14-member Indian team for the women's cricket World Cup to be held in South Africa next month. The team, selected after the senior National women's tournament, which concluded in Chennai on February 17, has nine players from Railways. Another institutional team, Air-India, contributes four members to the 14, while Reema Malhotra of Delhi is the sole player representing a State. According to Shubangi Kulkarni, Secretary, Women's Cricket Association of India, Mithali will take over the captaincy from Mamta Maben of Karnataka. Sudha Shah, former National captain, stays on as coach, while Trupti Bhattacharya is the manager. The physiotherapist will be Shiva Shankar and the trainer K.R. Siv Kumar.
