BJP to focus on law and order

HYDERABAD,
FEB. 27.
The State executive of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will meet at Kakinada on March 5 and 6 to discuss, among other things, the political situation in the State with particular reference to the maintenance of law and order.
The State BJP general secretary, K. Laxman, told reporters on Sunday that the meet would be addressed by the former party president, M. Venkaiah Naidu, and the vice-president, Bala Apte.
He said the meeting would debate the recent political killings in the State, farmers' problems and unremunerative prices for agricultural commodities.
Mr. Laxman said the State received a raw deal in the railway budget presented on Saturday. There was no reference to the second phase of Multi-Modal Transport System (MMTS) proposed by the previous NDA Government. The scheme envisaged MMTS service between Secunderabad-Manoharabad, Secunderabad-Bhongir and Falaknuma-Shamshabad.
