Kin allege bid to shield culprits

By Our Staff Reporter

ANANTAPUR, FEB. 27. Efforts are being made to shield the conspirators in the Paritala Ravindra murder case , the slain TDP MLA's uncle, D. Kondanna has alleged.

Speaking at a condolence meeting organised in memory of Ravindra at Muthavakuntla village in Kanaganapalli mandal on Sunday, he alleged that that the powers that be were trying to confuse the issue by bringing new `actors' into the picture.

Conflicting statements

He was reacting to the reported statement of a suspect in the case, P. Goverdhan Reddy, at Tandur in Ranga Reddy district yesterday, in which he had claimed that he had conspired to kill Ravindra out of sympathy developed for Suri during his imprisonment in Cherlapally jail.

The same Goverdhan Reddy had claimed earlier this month, when he was arrested by the police, that he had nothing to do with the murder and he had only introduced Julakanti Srinivasa Reddy and Narayana Reddy to Suri in the jail, Mr. Kondanna said.
