Commotion at RTC exam centre
By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD,
FEB. 27.
Commotion prevailed during the conduct of examination for the posts of Depot Manager (Technical and Non-Technical) in the State-owned Road Transport Corporation at a private college in Secunderabad on Sunday morning when an invigilator allegedly tried to help a candidate.
It is learnt that an officer of the rank of a Depot Manager tried to help a woman candidate who is said to be working as a conductor in the Kushaiguda depot. When other candidates noticed the officer helping the woman, they protested and walked out of the hall. Following the intervention of a senior RTC officer, the case was taken up by the Vigilance Department of the corporation. The answer sheet of the said candidate was also invalidated. Some 5,700 candidates appeared for the examination held in six centres in the twin cities, and two in Vijayawada.
