Kiran's desperate act spelt his doom: police
By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD,
FEB. 27.
Kiran Kumar (22), who died after jumping from the terrace of a five-storeyed building allegedly after being chased along with his friend, Venugopala Chary, on Saturday night on the charge of stealing a mobile, was a childhood friend of the latter.
While Venugopal was pursuing his degree course, Kumar discontinued his studies and was working in a laundry shop. The Begumpet police investigating into the death observed that Kumar probably failed to notice the height of the building since he wanted to escape by hook or crook.
"He would have probably been alive had he fell on the top of the car below or on the lawn covered with grass. Even then, he would have fractured his legs," the Begumpet ACP, B. Reddenna, said.
