Serial menace

Sir, — Television serials are very popular among viewers. But it is disheartening to find that almost all the serials justify extra-marital relations and bigamy.

Another common factor is the exaggerated portrayal of mothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Serials should should aim at promoting social harmony and not at creating discord.
