Chandrashekar shines

MYSORE, MARCH 5. Opener Chandrashekar's 150 (12x4s, 1x6) and his 242-run first wicket partnership with Ashwin (98), helped FUCC register a 57-run win over Mysore Underwriters in the Group `G' league encounter of the Sri Gopalaswami Memorial tournament here on Saturday.

The scores:

Group G: FUCC 318 for four in 45 overs (Chandrashekar 150, Ashwin 98) bt Mysore Underwriters CC 261 in 29.1 overs (Avinash 74, Srinivas 48).

Group H: Vijaya Cricketers 106 in 36.1 overs (Nithin Vinayak 44) lost to BEML (Mysore) 108 for three in 12.2 overs (Pavan Kaushik 44).

Group F: Agraharam CC 158 in 35.4 overs (S. Habeeb 41) lost to National CC 160 for one in 26.2 overs (Deepak Gowda 72, Raghavendra 67 n.o.).

Group C: Navodaya CC 201 in 33 overs (Sadish 72) lost to MUCSC 202 for one in 21.4 overs (S. Dhananjaya 69 n.o., Cheluvaraj 58 n.o., Surendra Prasad 58).
