Akademi mourns for Guru

NEW DELHI, MARCH 7. Sangeet Natak Akademi and its associate bodies today mourned the demise -- in Bangalore on Sunday -- of the eminent Bharatanatyam Guru U. S. Krishna Rao.

"With the demise of Shri U. S. Krishna Rao, the world of Indian dance has lost an eminent artiste and guru of Bharatanatyam," the Akademi noted in a condolence resolution here.
