CHANDIGARH, MARCH 10. The new Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, today expanded his Cabinet by inducting 10 Ministers . The new Ministers were administered the oath of office and secrecy by the Governor, A. R. Kidwai, at a simple ceremony in Raj Bhavan here this evening. Among those who have been appointed Ministers are Chander Mohan, son of the former Chief Minister and now president of the Haryana unit of the Congress, Bhajan Lal; Ajay Singh Yadav, Birender Singh, Kartar Devi, L. D. Arora and Phool Chand Mullana,all former Haryana Ministers; Randeep Singh Surjewala, working president of the Haryana unit of the Congress; Om Parkash Jindal, noted industrialist; Surender Singh, son of the former Chief Minister, Bansi Lal; and former Union Minister, Venod Sharma. Mr. Bhajan Lal and his son, Kuldeep Bishnoi, MP from Bhiwani, were among those sitting in the VIP enclosure.
Cabinet rank
Later, talking to mediapersons, Mr. Hooda said portfolios would be allocated in a day or two. Asked whether there was any move to appoint a Deputy Chief Minister as was being mentioned in political circles to appease the Bhajan Lal camp, he said all Ministers appointed today would hold Cabinet rank.
