MUMBAI, MARCH 21. Punjab beat the defending champion Mumbai by three wickets to enter the Ranji Trophy final. The visitor required two and half hours to score 68 runs and clinch victory on the fourth day of the semifinal at the Wankhede Stadium. Pankaj Dharmani (86 not out, 300m, 227 b, 8x4, 1x6) was the chief architect of the visitor's win. He defended stoutly, kept the scoreboard moving and figured in two good stands in the course of his five-hour tenure in the middle. Punjab lost the wickets of Gaurav Gupta, Amit Uniyal and Navdeep Singh before the second new ball was claimed by Mumbai, but Gagandeep Singh offered valuable support
