Amardeep wins

NEW DELHI, MARCH 21. Amardeep Malik edged Simarjeet Singh by two strokes to win the Sri Lankan Open amateur golf championship in Colombo on Sunday.

Posting cards of 71, 70, 71 and 69, Malik won the title with a total of three-under par 281 at the Royal Colombo Golf Club. Simarjeet (73, 74, 66, 70) was one-under for the tournament that saw Indians taking all the three spots. Vikram Rana finished third.

India won the international team event with Jasjeet Singh and Chirag Kumar leading the way.
