CHENNAI, MARCH 21. Karnataka moved into the P.S. Ram Mohan Rao Trophy under-25 cricket tournament final, defeating Hyderabad on the basis of first innings lead after the three-day match ended in a draw at the Chidambaram Stadium on Monday. Resuming its second essay at 78 for one, Karnataka was all out for 201 with off-spinners Ahmed Quadri and Sivasankar claiming six and four wickets respectively. Chasing 245 for victory, Hyderabad was reduced to 101 for seven when play was called off after the ninth mandatory over. Medium pacer Gaurav Dhiman and off-spinner Udit Patel took three and two wickets respectively. Karnataka meets defending champion Tamil Nadu for the title in a three-day contest beginning at the ICL-GNC ground on Wednesday.
