WASHINGTON, MARCH 26. The State Department has issued a fresh travel advisory on Pakistan reminding U.S. citizens of "ongoing security concerns" and the possibility of terrorist activity against U.S. citizens. "Al-Qaeda and Taliban elements continue to operate inside Pakistan, particularly along the porous Afghan border region. Their presence, coupled with that of indigenous sectarian and militant groups in Pakistan, continues to pose potential danger to American citizens," the State Department said in the travel warning asking Americans to defer non-essential travel to that country.
