BANGALORE: Amber Valley Residential School, (AVRS) Chikmaglur, in association with Cafe Coffee Day, has announced the institution of the annual `Cafe Coffee Day Young Achievers Scholarship Programme' which will sponsor the full annual tuition and boarding fees of Rs. 1 lakh per year for 20 meritorious students for 3 years. Cafe Coffee Day, India's premier and largest chain of cafes, and sponsor of this program, is facilitating applications to the `Young Achievers' Scholarship Programme' from 75 of its cafes in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata, till March 31. IDBI Homefinance hikes rates MUMBAI: IDBI Homefinance, a wholly-owned subsidiary of IDBI, has raised interest rates on home loans by 0.25 percentage points across various maturities effective March 31. The Retail Prime Lending Rate (RPLR) and Rack Rate, which is the benchmark used for pricing of its variable interest rate loans, would be higher by 0.25 percentage points, the company said in a release. The revised variable interest rates for loans up to five years would be 7.75 per cent while that for above five years and up to 15 years, it would be 8.25 per cent per annum. The rate for loans above 15 years and up to 20 years would be 8.5 per cent, it added.
