Apex court to hear plea against `Black Friday'
By Our Legal Correspondent
NEW DELHI,
APRIL 8.
The Supreme Court will hear on April 21 a special leave petition (SLP) from the producers of the film "Black Friday" challenging a judgment of the Bombay High Court staying the release of the film till the judgment in the 1993 bomb blast case was delivered by the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA) court.
The High Court had passed the order while allowing a petition filed by a group of 1993 blast accused challenging the release of the film contending that its release before the trial court delivered the judgment could prejudice the case as it was based on the blast incidents.
