MTC to set up 200 shelters

CHENNAI.:
The Metropolitan Transport Corporation will set up nearly 200 bus shelters throughout the city, said the managing director, C.T. Meyyappan, on Saturday.
"We will call open tenders from advertisers for building shelters in areas that are not in litigations," he said.
The Corporation will also construct a "new shelter" in front of the General Hospital. "The shelter in front of the hospital was in a dilapidated condition. We didn't get sufficient response from advertisers. We have decided to construct a new one with the help of the PWD or the Health department," he said.
