NEW DELHI: The CPI (M) began its Polit Bureau meeting here on Saturday to review the performance of the UPA Government in the past one year and take stock of the prevailing political situation in the country.

The two-day meeting is the first after the six-day 18th party congress.

The meet will evaluate the performance of the UPA Government, which completes one year in office on May 22.

It will also discuss the role of the Opposition in Parliament, besides formulating strategies to implement decisions taken at the congress on organisational matters.
