Manmohan calls on President

NEW DELHI:
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh called on President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Saturday to apprise him of matters of national importance.
Billed as part of the regular interaction between the two leaders, the meeting lasted 35 minutes.
At the meeting, the Prime Minister briefed the President about his recent visit to Moscow and his meetings with world leaders attending the 60th anniversary celebrations of the end of the Second World War.
The budget session of Parliament also figured in the discussions as did the forthcoming four-nation tour of the President.
