BANGALORE: The Indian National Rally Championship, a Motor Sports Association of India event, wends it way from Meghalaya to Mysore. The second leg of the National rally will be historic in a way because JK Tyres has decided to support two teams and return to the sport after five years. MRF's split with former National champion V.R. Naren Kumar and co-driver D. Ramkumar and the more recent split with last year's winner Vikram Mathias and navigator B.S. Sujith Kumar was just what its rival JK needed and the two racing teams have been signed up for the Mysore rally. A total of nine cars will be in the fray for the INRC section of the K & N Mysore Safari and rally. MRF will be represented by Karandip Singh with Arjun Balu as the navigator. Lohit Urs and Arjun Rao Aroor will also sport the MRF colours. The competition will be made tougher with Jiby Malaikkal, Rahul Kantharaj and Ranjit Ballal. All competitors except Jiby Malaikkal will be driving Balenos. Jiby will be in a Honda City. The Mysore rally will be flagged off on Friday from the Mysore Palace grounds. There will be 12 special stages on Saturday and two super special stages on Sunday. A total of 21 cars have registered so far for the Mysore rally.
