Akshay Ballal shines

Mysore: An unbeaten century by opener Akshay Ballal 105 not out (8x4, 1x6), helped Mangalore CC register a 41-run win over RACF, Delhi, in their Group `B' league encounter in the all-India invitation under-15 cricket tournament conducted by Mysore University Colleges Sports Council here on Wednesday.

The scores: Group B: Mangalore CC 217 for two in 30 overs (Akshay Ballal 105 not out, Ashwin Rao 56) bt RACF (Delhi) 176 in 27 overs (Amith Kumar 53).

JP Nagar (Bangalore) 57 in 19.4 overs (Uttam Raj four for 13) lost to The Mysore Gymkhana 64 for one in five overs (inclusive of 6 penalty runs for one over short).

Group C: BDK Sports Foundation (Hubli) 116 in 29.1 overs (Punith four for 12) lost to RBNCC 119 for five in 28.5 overs (Nirmith 46 not out).

SAI (Bangalore) 87 in 26.3 overs (Sushil three for 14, Debang three for 21) lost to DAC (Kolkata) 88 for one in 24.4 overs (Debang 43 not out).

Group A: MUCSC 152 in 28 overs (Prabyanth 48, Vikram four for 17) bt Hassan CA 123 for nine in 30 overs (Sachin Raj four for 21).

ARYAK VRAT (Delhi) 94 in 24 overs (Ashish four for 19) lost to Kapil CA (Hyderabad) 97 for three in 21.4 overs (Anish 67).

Group D: Raghu CA (Bangalore) 117 in 22.2 overs (Subhash five for 26) lost to SAAP (Hyderabad) 118 for eight in 26.2 overs (Arun Singh 34, Lokesh four for 22).

NCC (Mysore) 95 for seven in 28 overs (Sachin three for 21) lost to PET SAK (Mandya) 96 for two in 17 overs.
