Airtel launches Airtel Express

HYDERABAD: Bharti Cellular, a leading mobile service provider on Monday launched Airtel Express, a marketing initiative and a movement enabling people to "go mobile at their doorsteps".

The Information Minister, Mohd. Ali Shabbir flagged off a convoy of seven vans marking the launch. He said the State Government would offer whatever cooperation was required to boost telephony and communication services all over the State. He asked the Airtel officials to improve maximum coverage in the State with special reference to the rural areas. V. Venkatesh, Vice-President, Operations said the movement was the result of an internal research and a pilot project conducted in small towns of AP which indicated a need for reaching out to people and align people with the rapid strides being made by technology.
