CHENNAI: On a day when even top-seeded Jishnu Sanjal had a struggle, it did not matter that sixth-seeded R. Vijay Anand of Tamil Nadu had a fight in hand in the boys' under-19 second round of the Krishna Khaitan memorial all-India junior badminton tournament on Friday. The gritty Cuddalore boy lost the second game but kept his cool and form intact to down the Maharashtra boy Amey Joshi to enter the pre-quarterfinal round where he faces third-seeded Amit Khadgi.
