CHENNAI: The non-government organisation World Vision India has announces a relief outlay of Rs. 133.2 crores for tsunami victims. This brings their total relief outlay to Rs. 161 crores. Addressing newspersons, the operations manager, World Vision India Tsunami Response, Relton Samuel, outlined the organisation's relief work in 10 tsunami-affected sites in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Pondicherry and Andaman and Nicobar. World Vision is funded by several international organisations, corporates and their Indian donors. Every year, World Vision's Indian donors contribute Rs. 8 crores. Mr. Samuel said the NGO's plans for the coming months included providing psychosocial care. It would provide school uniforms, shoes, school fees and coaching classes for 3,767 children. It would also provide counselling and training to community-based organisations.
