CHENNAI: :The Directorate of Technical Education has announced the dates for counselling for admission to second year B.E/B.Tech degree courses in Government-aided and self-financing engineering colleges for diploma holders under the lateral entry scheme for the academic year 2005-06. The rank list has been displayed at the DOTE office, a press release said. Counselling for allotment of colleges and branches would be held at Alagappa College of Engineering and Technology, Karaikkudi, from July 6 to 12 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Counselling for special reservation candidates and for chemical and textile engineering courses would be held on July 6, for electrical engineering courses between July 7-10, mechanical engineering course on July 11 and civil engineering course on July 12. Communications are being sent to eligible candidates to appear for counselling as per the availability of seats in each group following merit and communal reservations. Candidates may appear for counselling along with their original certificates, even if they have not received individual communication.
