SCR releases timetable

HYDERABAD: The South Central Railway (SCR) has come out with a new timetable effective from July 1, 2005. Priced at Rs. 30 each, it will be available from July 1.

In tune with its endeavour, the SCR has introduced new features, making it easier for the public to navigate through the timetable.

They can now find details of trains and timings from one point to the other. The timetable was released by the General Manager, D.N. Mathur.

New trains to be introduced from July 1 include 7482/7481 Tirupati-Bilaspur-Tirupati bi-weekly express and 539/540 Parli Vaijnath-Parbhani-Parli Vaijnath passenger. New trains which would be announced at a date to be announced later, include 7052/7051 Secunderabad-Chennai Egmore-Secunderabad daily express, No. 2710/2709 Secunderabad-Gudur-Secunderabad Simhapuri daily super fast express and 7039/7040 Secunderabad-Nanded-Secunderabad daily express.

Train upgraded

Train No. 1063/1064 Dadar-Chennai-Dadar Express services passing through SCR on the Renigunta-Wadi section have been upgraded to Super Fast category and hence re-numbered as No. 2163/2164.

Also, over 60 trains have been re-numbered and passengers interested in finding out the numbers may approach any of the existing enquiry counters.
