BHEL bags $100 m Indonesian contract

NEW DELHI: Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) has bagged a contract for setting up a 120 MW eco-friendly co-generation power plant in Indonesia, despite stiff competition from Chinese suppliers. Valued at about $100 million, the power plant will be set up for captive use by PT Merak Energi Group in Indonesia, according to a BHEL spokesperson here.
