Exemption from BCTT

NEW DELHI: The Centre has decided to exempt inter-bank transactions from levy of the Banking Cash Transaction Tax (BCTT). All scheduled banks have been advised not to collect BCTT on such transactions. A circular to this effect has been issued, an official press release said here on Monday.
