Anil Kumar regains title

KOZHIKODE: O.T. Anil Kumar of Kozhikode regained the State senior chess championship here on Monday.

He scored seven points from eight rounds, half-a-point ahead of teammate K.M. Nizam. This is the third State title for Anil, who last won it in 1993.

The standings:
