Dress code

The sudden urgency in evolving a dress code for colleges in Mumbai and Chennai seems to be aimed at driving home the point that the reason for crime against women is their way of dressing.

But we seem to forget that those who indulge in eve-teasing or other crimes against women are not doing so just because women dress in a particular way. The law should be made more stringent to provide security to women.
