`A draconian Bill'

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: The Communist Party of India on Tuesday took exception to a proposed move by the Centre to bring a Small and Medium Enterprises Development Bill.

"It is a draconian Bill. We are advising the Government not to bring it and lead to further confrontation with the Left. We also suggest that the Prime Minister not pass it in the Cabinet," CPI Lok Sabha leader Gurudas Dasgupta said at a press conference. Party MP C.K. Chandrappan was present.
