More road shows to be organised as part of AB Deposit Ut`save'

  • 4 ATMs to be opened before month-end
  • Free debit cards issued to customers
  • Bank counter offers insurance products
  • Plans for setting up of coin dispenser

VISAKHAPATNAM: Andhra Bank will open 40 more ATMs in Visakhapatnam zone before this fiscal-end.

Announcing this after inaugurating a two-day road show of the bank at the Seethammadhara branch as part of AB Deposit Ut`save' here on Thursday, its Deputy General Manager K. Suryanarayana said that four new ATMs would be opened in the zone covering the three north Andhra districts of Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam before this month-end.

The month-long Ut`save', which began on August 17, was aimed at focussing on various deposit schemes, insurance-linked products, and ancillary services provided by Andhra Bank, he stated.

The bank has a tie-up with the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India, which had trained the bank's personnel, and now insurance products were given to the customer at the bank counter.

Mr. Suryanarayana said that more road shows would be organised before September 17 during the Ut`save'.

Debit cards were also being issued to customers free of cost at the two-day road show with the cost of photographs being reimbursed, he said.

Another proposal before the bank was setting up of a coin dispenser which makes available small change in various denominations against currency notes. One machine would be set up at the Seethammadhara branch while another would be located elsewhere in the city, he said.

Earlier, Assistant General Manager M. Somanadham welcomed the gathering. Chief Managers P. Prabhakara Rao and N. Harinarayana Rao spoke.
