AIR bags award

COIMBATORE: The Coimbatore Station of the All India Radio has been chosen for the "Akashwani Annual Awards for Technical Excellence 2004".

AIR Coimbatore started in 1966 was adjudged as the best maintained station in the South Zone comprising Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The award will be presented at AIR, Tiruvananthapuram on September 5, a release from AIR, Coimbatore said.
